Can you model horizontal forces (for example from braking loads)?
Solution
LimitState:RING does not currently apply horizontal forces at surface level (e.g. to model traction/braking forces). However, it is possible to apply user-specified horizontal forces (as pressures) directly to blocks within arches and/or piers.
To do this, simply select the block(s) in question, then in the Property Editor, set Fill Force (H): User Defined to true. You can then enter a value for the applied horizontal force and this will be taken into account in the analysis.
